Hi, I’m Emma…
...and I'm the person behind Wildborne photography. I'm happiest with a camera in my hand, a dog beside me and somewhere wild to explore.
Wildborne came from my love of dogs, the outdoors and photography - but especially from wanting to capture the things that make each dog them. Their character, quirks, energy, movement and the relationship they share with their person.
I live with three very different dogs, and they've taught me that no two dogs are ever quite the same. From the calm companionship of everyday life to muddy adventures, ridiculous zoomies and everything in between, I love photographing the personality behind the face.
More than a photograph
My own journey with working dogs has also given me a particular love for photographing dogs in their element.
Through IGP training, I've become fascinated by the partnership between dog and handler - the focus, communication, trust and tiny moments that can happen in a split second. That's what I'm looking for when I'm behind the camera.
Not just a dog sitting nicely and looking at the lens, but the moment their ears prick, their eyes lock on, they launch into motion, or they look back at the person they trust.
Those are the photographs that tell a story.

I love photographing dogs outdoors, particularly where they can move naturally and their personality has room to shine - from windswept beaches and open countryside to working fields and training grounds.
